I'm seeing Black fans across the diaspora sharing their interpretations so I'd like to share mine for the Black British + Ghanaian POV

Abi looks after the customers & they show her a sign of respect. A bit of Nigerian-Ghanaian solidarity. Growing up, my Nigerian friends always supported me and helped me understand my Ghanaian heritage as someone whose African & Caribbean so I liked this small moment

Next is the obvious inclusion of Anansi. I kinda wish they specified hes Ghanaian in the episode but either way it's nice to have small slice of Ghana in the show

& lastly the ending with the Barber feels like a mini commentary on Black British identity. The Barber despite looking like them has no community or identity, but Omo gives him one. He can now reconnect with his culture that he once lost. He can tell his own story now.

27/05/25 UPDATED: I just changed the basic details of Doctor Barber's boots.

Once again, sorry for the delay and offline and even deleted the art trade part for one of my friends, mutedsalina on Instagram. Because it didn't look any better and was quite cringy, so I'll redo and finish it soon on a new one than the previous one.

Also, here's another randomly yet practical CatDog related doodle, on the top side you can see the mildy romantic fluff (mostly passionate kisses or anything else 😏) of my CliffXCheryl ship, which I couldn't help but think about 😳🙈; on the top right, the new female CatDog OC to Cat, so yeah; first attempt at drawing minor CatDog characters in both episodes like Sally Chenille (yea, whose cat girl I always despise along with Winslow and Rancid) and Grace Hepburn (I always adore her sm like how much she loves Lube after he had his first crush on her, and from now on they will be my new fav OTP ever >w<); and eventually, on the bottom, my practical drawing of Doctor Barber (from The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) between my version and the tiny original one on top, so I intentionally wanted to include another, and rather non-CatDog in the final corner of this pic, since it helped me overcome my art block, and in that case I'm going crazy for still in love with this strangely maniacal asf yet borderline old barber/surgeon guy sm from one of my fav Cartoon Network cartoon shows throughout between my childhood and adolescence >//.//<. And yet, I would rather think that this is uniquely suited to include in the CatDog-related doodle pic.
